Snowman

Watching out the window, I could see the snow falling heavily, the flakes as big as golf balls. I didn’t want to go out, so I stayed inside my warm and cozy bedroom. When the snow finally stopped, I looked out the window again and saw how thick and fluffy the snow looked. It was a huge, white blanket that covered everything as far as my eye could see. I pulled on warm clothes, bundled myself into my boots and jacket, and opened the front door. The snow stood just above the level of the door, so I had to sweep it out of the way. My first step onto the carpet of snow found my foot sinking, and sinking, and sinking, until it finally hit the ground. It seemed to take forever, but was only a few seconds in reality. Walking through the snow was like walking through goo, slow going, constantly having to push hard at it to keep going. Giving up on walking, I decided to make a snowman. I rolled a huge ball of snow and left it where it stopped. Then I rolled another ball, not as big as the first. When I went to lift it, it was like lifting 100 pounds. I finally got it to the top of the first ball. My snowman was taking shape. The last ball was easy because it was much smaller. In a few minutes, I have a huge snowman. He was over 6 feet tall, taller than me! I was so proud of my accomplishment. However, it was getting colder, so I decided to go back inside. I had to wade back through the snow until I reached my door. Looking back at my snowman, I was so proud of my work and went back inside with a light heart.
